During the World Economic Forum in Davos, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the NBT AS and Total Eren companies concluded, with the participation of the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, agreements on the wind power project Sivash, which was signed in full by the Sivash financial fund, announced in September 2018.
In addition, during a meeting of the National Investment Council of Ukraine in Davos, the CEO of the Norwegian NBT, Joar Viken, announced that the company has sufficient potential to build an additional 700-800 MW of wind capacity in Ukraine. During a meeting of the NBT Council and its equity partner, the French company Total Eren, signed a framework agreement to raise funding for the Sivash project in the amount of 260 million euros. The agreement provides for the attraction of credit funds (more than 70% of the total cost of the project) and own investments, in particular, on the part of NBT AS and Total Eren itself.

On November 28, 2018, the EBRD approved a loan of € 150 million to a subsidiary of the Norwegian NBT LLC Sivashenergoprom for the construction of a 250 MW wind power plant in Kherson region. NBT bought Sivashenergoprom LLC in April 2018 and plans to build wind power plants with a capacity of 250-330 MW. The company already has significant experience in the market of alternative energy in China, has offices in Oslo, Limassol, Beijing, Karachi and Kiev. In the autumn of 2018, preparatory work began for the construction of the wind power plant by this company in the Chaplinka district of the Kherson region with a capacity of 250 MW. After completion, the plant will produce about 900,000 MWh per year, which will provide electricity to 250 thousand people.
Within the framework of the Kherson International Economic Forum “Tavrian Horizons”, a solemn signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kherson Regional State Administration and the Norwegian company NBT AS took place. For its part, the RSA contributes to the investor in the implementation of the project on the territory of the Chaplinka district within the limits of authority.
