Global Best Practice Programme Competition for solving the biggest challenges of modern society

For efficient solving modern world problems organizers of World Exhibition EXPO 2020 has started competitive selection of projects within the Global Best Practice Programme that is spreading an information about projects providing real solutions to the world’s biggest challenges, in line with the globally-sourced Sustainable Development Goals, with a view to expanding and implementing them elsewhere. Selected projects will be presented at the EXPO 2020 that will be held from October 20, 2020 until April 10, 2021 in Dubai, UAE.

The main theme of the exhibition is ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’. Thus, this event will be aimed at establishing interconnection and cooperation, building new partnership relations for innovations development and idea sharing to forge a better future. The exhibition promises to be the most significant world event. 25 mln people from different countries are expected to visit EXPO 2020.

EXPO 2020 Organizing Committee expects to receive projects related to such development topics as:

  • inclusive and sustainable service delivery (reliable service provision in urban, suburban and rural areas, as well as in fluid environments such as informal, nomadic, post-disaster, emergency, and refugee settlements);
  • livelihoods and enterprise development (promoting alternative employment and income opportunities, women in the workplace, competitive products and services, and improved market access);
  • resilient habitats (better protecting human, economic and natural assets in urban, rural and fluid environments);
  • social development (reliable, affordable and appropriate healthcare and education systems and delivery);

water, food and energy security (smarter consumption and resource management to better meet increasing water, food and energy requirements for a growing global population).

Representatives of governments, corporations, international organizations, business, non-governmental and educational institutions and public organizations are free to participate in the programme.
