KHERSON REGION DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR NEXT THREE YEARS

On February 28, 2019 press-conference on theme “How will Kherson region develop in the next three years? Invitation for discussion of project of the perspective development plan of the region for 2019 – 2021” was held in Оles Honchar Kherson Regional Universal Science Library.

On this conference Andrii Hordieiev, the Head of Kherson Regional State Admnistration, informed all present guests about implementation of development projects in the region during 2014 – 2018. For these four years, 70 scope investment projects were implemented due to funding of domestic and foreign investors. The amount of investments was above UAH 10.5 bln. As a result, UAH 70 mln of taxes were paid to local budget only for last two years. More than 1000 jobs were created.

Also it was announced a session of Regional Development Council that will be held in March. On this session a project of perspective development plan of the region for next three years will be discussed. This plan includes almost 900 projects in all spheres of vital activity of the region: construction and repair of educational institutions, medicine, culture and sports objects, renovation of housing and communal services objects and road infrastructure, creation of new industrial facilities and agrarian enterprises, renewable energetics development strategy in the region.

Thus, campaign to disseminate information package from Petro Poroshenko, the Head of the Regional Development Council, begins from March 1, 2019.

This informational package contains:

  • a booklet reflecting implemented projects in the region during last years, main directions of region development and the most significant projects that are planned to be implemented during next three years;
  • a map of perspective objects of Kherson region for 2019 – 2021;
  • a questionnaire that will help local population to say about their wishes, inform about problems or express their opinion on implemented or planned projects.
