Regular meeting of the organizing committee of Kherson International Economic Forum “Tavrian Horizons 2018”
On May, 11 the regular meeting of the organizing committee of Kherson International Economic Forum “Tavrian Horizons 2018” under the chairmanship of the Head of Kherson RSA was held. In order to “inhale” the new life into the “oldest” investment and economic event in the Kherson region the committee made a decision on the full event rebranding: from the name and logo to the venue.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the structural divisions of the RSA, representatives of the most successful enterprises of the region and organizations. According to the head of Kherson RSA, “the red thread” of this year’s forum determined the theme of increasing tourism infrastructure level and development of agroindustry, in particular, realization of the region’s potential in the field of processing and manufacturing of quality food products with a high share of value added.
Other topics that will be the focus of this year’s Forum are transparent privatization and public-private partnerships. In particular, about 10 key infrastructure objects have already been identified, which will be presented in this panel as investment sites and will be offered for sale in the near future. Among them, Kherson CHP, 2 leading regional sea ports, and a number of small-scale privatization objects.
A separate panel will be devoted to the presentation of the economic strategies of the newly established Kherson region amalgamated communities. Each of them will have a unique opportunity to present their projects to potential investors and prove that their territories are interesting and promising business sites.
Within the framework of the “Creative Economy and Urbanistics” panel, participants will get acquainted with modern projects and proposals of “smart city” creation on the example of such project that is successfully implemented in Kherson – the creative art space Urban CAD.
Participants of the meeting discussed issues related to filling event agenda and agreeing its schedule, identifying key topics and speakers of each panel discussion.
About 1000 representatives of different industry sectors are invited to participate in the event; attendance of senior state officials is expected also.
